Application Approval Process - Watch Video
In this video, I walk you through the steps to approve an application. The move-in date is set for March 17th, and I also explain how to charge the security deposit of $13.95, which is due within 24 hours of approval. Please make sure to double-check the email and phone number before sending the online portal activation. Let me know if you have any questions!
How to Approve an Application and Set Up Move-In
- Go to Applicant Summary
- Click Edit, then select Approve
- Set the move-in date (e.g., March 17), then click Save
- Charge the full security deposit:
- Click Charge Whole Deposit
- Enter the amount (e.g., $1395 for a single deposit)
- Click Next, then Charge Whole Deposit
- Send online portal activation:
- Confirm correct email and phone number
- Check Include reminder emails
- Click Send Invitation
- Confirm move-in date and that the deposit will be paid via the resident portal
Error Handling:
- Whenever we review the Tenant Screening report, if any information doesn’t meet the criteria, it must be manually updated to “Criteria Met” before proceeding. Only after this update can we send the portal invitation and hold the deposit.
