- Vacant Unit Review and Work Orders:
- The maintenance coordinator issues a list of vacant units to the handyman.
- Work orders (WOs) are created for handyman services to perform necessary winter weatherization tasks in each vacant property.
- Tasks include but are not limited to
- Insulating pipes (covering hose bibs)
- Turning off water to property
- Turn the heater on to at least 65 degrees.
- Open sink cabinet doors to allow heat into pipes.
- Drip faucets
- Handymen are dispatched to complete these tasks before the onset of winter weather.
- Follow-up and Monitoring:
- The maintenance coordinator follows up on completed tasks to ensure all units have been properly winterized.
- Any additional issues or special requests are addressed promptly.
