How to group Applications on AppFolio

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to link applications in a group.

How to Group Applications in AppFolio:

Go to your AppFolio Property Manager dashboard and sign in with your credentials.

2. Navigate to the 'Applications' Tab

From the left-hand menu, click on Leasing > Applications.

3. Search for the Applicants

Locate the individual applications you want to group. Use the applicant names or the property address to find them.

4. Open One of the Applications

Click on one of the applications that needs to be grouped.

5. Click “Group with Another Application”

Within the application screen, look for the “Group with another application” option (usually on the right side or top of the page).

6. Select the Matching Application(s)

A list will appear with other pending applications. Select the appropriate application(s) that should be grouped together. This is typically used for co-applicants who are applying for the same unit.

7. Confirm the Grouping

Once selected, confirm the grouping. AppFolio will combine the applications into one joint application package, where you can view shared info like income, credit, background, etc. 

8. Review & Process as One Application

From this point forward, treat the grouped applications as a single unit. You can approve, deny, or request more information jointly
